It has been an extremely busy time catching up on all the jobs I couldn`t do when my knee was playing up, but finally today I found time to pick up my camera and photograph a Southern Hawker Dragonfly. You may remember the images I took in June of the dragonfly having just emerged from the larval stage, this female was laying eggs in the pond and hopefully the life cycle will continue next year and another beautiful dragonfly will take to the air. Well that is it for August, but in September I am off to Suffolk and hope to post some bird photographs from the RSPB reserve at Minsmere and maybe some seals from Blakeney.

New Forest
These beautiful Fallow Deer were grazing near the roadside with some New Forest ponies.
